Todd Walker is a young, dynamic force in the world of drumming today! Whether Todd is performing, teaching, recording or writing, his abilities and attitude towards drumming are that of a true professional.
Todd continues to make a name for himself in today's drumming. From clinics to live performances and studio sessions, his resume is very impressive.
Originally from New Jersey, Todd began to play drums at age eleven. By age fifteen, Todd was playing professionally in a variety of live performances throughout the New Jersey/New York area. Todd's styles of drumming range from jazz, pop/rock, afro-cuban, funk, fusion, country, society, second line, rudimental/marching, odd-time/progressive and alternative which gives him a solid background for today's demand in all musical performances and studio sessions.
During the annual Music West International Conference held in Vancouver, Canada May, 1994 Todd was the winner of the "1994 Pearl Players Drum Challenge" featured in the open category.
Thoroughbred Music's Annual Drum Expo in Tampa gave Todd the opportunity to perform as a finalist in both the 1993 and 1994 drum competitions. The judging panel included such greats as Dom Famularo, Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, Marvin 'Smitty' Smith and Rod Morgenstein.
Modern Drummer Magazine also featured Todd in the July 1995 issue, "On The Move" Section.
Currently living in South Florida, Todd can be found in performances throughout the state (Including Sunfest Music Festival, PGA National Jazz Concert Series and The Breakers), as well as recording with a variety of local musicians. Todd has performed with various artists including Clarence Clemmons (Bruce Springsteen), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Vinnie Burke (World renown jazz bass player), Grayson Hugh (solo artist), Patti Wicks (Piano), Michael Tirsch (Percussionist), Michael Tschudin (Keyboards/Jimmy Buffet), Gabriel Vivas(Bass/Nestor Torres), David Siegel (Piano/Nestor Torres), Adrien Re (Performer/Instructor FAU & University of Miami), and has shared the stage with Victor Wooten (Bela Fleck) and Phil McArthur (Bass/David Lee Roth/solo artist).
Todd has also been called upon for a variety of studio recording sessions at some of south Florida's leading recording studios such as New River Studios (Fort Lauderdale, FL), Echo Beach Recording Studio (Jupiter, FL) and Southern Music Arts (West Palm Beach, FL) to name a few.
Todd has also performed for the CNN Network and has had a video feature on BET Cable Jazz Music Network-(Jazz Spotlight). Todd has recently recorded his own CD entitled, "Time Release!" to be released in late 1998.
Todd also teaches (50 students) private drum instruction in his studio. Due to his dedication, he has established his name in local schools and music stores as the area's most professional drum instructor and clinician.
These accomplishments, along with his playing ability, has earned Todd endorsements with Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals and Pro-Mark Drumsticks.

Modern Drummer The World's Most Widely Read Drum Magazine Featuring Todd Walker Reprinted from the July 1995 issue, "On The Move" section
Thirty year old Todd Walker's schedule barely leaves him time to breathe. Originally from New Jersey (where he began his drumming career at age eleven), Todd relocated to Florida in 1989. Since then he has been active as a member of several successful bands, the latest of which is rock group called Themm that tours the south Florida area.
Todd also does a great deal of freelancing in virtually every style - jazz, pop, fusion, afro-cuban, country, rock and even rudimental. At the same time he has parlayed his versatility into an extremely active teaching practice where he teaches about 45 students a week through music stores and at his own teaching/recording studio, Todd Walker Drum Studio. His teaching skills also made him a popular clinician at schools from primary to college level. And as if that weren't enough, Todd is also involved in numerous recording projects at his studio as well as other recording studios.
In October 1994 Todd's drumming skills took him to the finals of Thoroughbred Music's "Best Unsigned Drummer" contest. In May of that same year, he won the Open Category in the "Pearl Players Drum Challenge" held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Todd's obvious talents brought him to the attention of Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, and Pro-Mark Drumsticks and he is now an artist/clinician/endorser for those companies.
